CASE STUDY | NEW CONSTRUCTION

Keyless from day one.

How Sullivan Development opened Leavenworth Lofts with every door on ZeroKey, installed in one day for about half the cost of a traditional system.

Infographic summarizing Sullivan Development’s Leavenworth Lofts project in Midtown Omaha, Nebraska: 25-unit apartment building opened June 2025, with 35 doors plus garage access, one-day installation, two-hour programming, 45-minute staff training, and approximately 50% lower cost than hub-and-Wi-Fi systems.

Mid-term tenants, constant turnover.

Leavenworth Lofts mixes long-term residents with mid-term tenants on one- to six-month stays. With physical keys, every one of those turns means a handoff, a rekey and another chance for a key to go missing.

Sullivan Development wanted a system that was easy for residents and management, worked without Wi-Fi, showed exactly who had access to every door and made turnover simple.

Half the cost. None of the infrastructure.

A traditional hub-and-Wi-Fi access system would have roughly doubled the building’s access-control cost and added network wiring during construction, plus upkeep after. ZeroKey delivered the same remote control and audit trail without the network build-out.

What changed.

“Traditional access control would have doubled our cost and required Wi-Fi throughout the building. ZeroKey was installed in a day, costs about half as much, and turns over a short-term tenant in seconds instead of an hour. We see and control every door from anywhere.”
